Blessed by the muses. Cursed to die.

Princess Aurelia of Vernissia is blessed by the muses with beauty, compassion, grace, optimism—and a passion for oil painting. But when the Muse of Life decides to prove that no other gift matters without her own, she dooms Aurelia to die in her nineteenth year, poisoned by the very paints she loves.

A final blessing offers a slender hope: true love may yet bring Aurelia back. But as her nineteenth birthday draws near, she is betrothed to a neighboring prince while her heart drifts toward his brother.

With fate closing in, Aurelia must face the tangled demands of love, duty, and the future of her kingdom.

I’ve always loved Sleeping Beauty, but one question lingered with me: How can true love exist between strangers?

In The Blazing Princess, Aurelia’s parents try to change fate by giving her the chance to truly know the prince she is promised to.

But hearts rarely follow the path laid before them.

What began as a fairy-tale retelling soon grew into something larger—the first thread in the enchanted world of Tessagonia, where stories overlap, echoes matter, and even small choices shape future tales.

A nice, light read that fully immersed me in the world of Tessagonia and left me wanting to experience more stories set in this world of muses, magic, and fairy-tale vibes.

The author manages to say a lot in few words… a very nice use of language… I enjoyed the consistency of voice throughout.
