Five years ago, Elizabeth and I created Briarbook Lane, our enchanted fairytale getaway online. At the time, I had some poetry published, one poetry collection published by an small press, and some unpublished fiction (a finished novel which had been rejected by agents/publishers, a few short stories, and an embarrassing number of unfinished novels).
My author journey has made great strides these past five years. Thanks to this collaboration, and really rediscovering why I love fairytales, I returned to my fairytale retellings. I had two finished, and another in a brief idea form. With Elizabeth’s enthusiasm, I wrote the third story and decided to fully delve into and expand these stories into the Tales of Tessagonia.
I published The Blazing Princess (ToT book 1) in March 2022. But without any sort of writing or publishing plan, it was over a year (June 2023) until I released book 2, Mirror. I realized I needed to get more focused and sat down and came up with a PLAN. Something to keep me accountable, but that was also realistic and gave me breathing room for when life happens (as it does). I came up with my four-month cycle of editing and publishing. Now you can reliably expect a new novella in Tales of Tessagonia every February, June, and October. And I have kept to my schedule!

Two of my poems were published in The Leaves Fall poetry anthology by Red Penguin Press (September 2021).
I got into the library system! Some of my ebooks are available through Libby, and my print collection, Tales of Tessagonia: Books 1-6, has multiple copies in my county library system. (April 2025)
I was a podcast guest on Sounds from the Shelves. I was one of six local authors/creators highlighted. (Dec 2023)
I initially published exclusive with Kindle, but started publishing wide in the beginning of 2024. Now you can find my books at most retailers, and can request it for libraries.
